widest variety of accommodation and activities available to
local and international tourists.
Marketing Strategy
The effectiveness of a website depends entirely on how often it
is visited. With this in mind, we intend to advertise
extensively, both on-line and in the ‘real world’ to achieve a
growing number of visitors to our website - and the web pages of
our advertisers. With maximum optimization of
meta-tags and search keywords we ensure that Ahoy SA (and our listed establishments) get better search
engine rankings - and more visitors.
The
marketing initiatives that we are going to implement over the
short, medium and long term will include:

paid for advertisement/listings which will ensure prominent listing
with more than 50 local and international search engines such
as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Aardvark, Ananzi, Funnel,

Ahoy SA has a unique
business model ensuring exceptional levels of service. Each
province operates as a franchise operation with the franchisee
dedicated to ensuring that his/her area is kept in touch and up
to date with the latest Ahoy SA happenings – either by e-mail, sms, or telephonically. The
franchisee will assist you every step of the way and once you
have listed with Ahoy SA, will continue to provide
support with regard to advertising promotions, banner
advertising, specials, etc.
Each listed establishment will have their own fully designed and
dedicated web page detailing all the relevant information as
well as up to 7 photographs giving the visitor a detailed impression of the
venue – all backed up by state-of-the-art technology.
We offer 3 UNIQUE services to
tourists to quickly and almost effortlessly find accommodation
and activity establishments that offers them what they are
looking for:

Plan your Trip:
Tourists tell us where they want to go, for how
long, what type of accommodation they want and what activities
they are interested in. If your establishment is on their route,
we will contact you via e-mail with their details and if you can
accommodate them, finalize the booking.

Easy Search:
We also offer
a unique service (EasySearch) where tourists etc. can tell us exactly what they are looking for - we do the searching and
recommend suitable establishments. This saves them the time and
effort of having to search through numerous unsuitable
establishments in their efforts to find the appropriate
accommodation and/or activity. The search information is
e-mailed to qualifying establishments within minutes after we
receive it, the establishments confirm availability and we then
e-mail the information back to the potential guest and finalise
the booking with the establishment of their choice.

11th Hour Bookings:
It often happens that tourists
decide, say on a Thursday, to take a weekend break. They
simply e-mail their requirements to us, we contact the
establishments listed with us who can offer them what they are
looking for and BINGO - the establishement get 11th hour
bookings and the tourists find accommodation by simply sending
one e-mail.

In
addition to listing establishments on the Ahoy SA website, the
establishment owners will also be entitled to:

FREE listing of special offers (e.g. rate specials, Valentines Day
offers etc.)

FREE listing of promotional competitions

FREE changes / amendments to web listing details (e.g. rate
increases / decreases, images, etc)
Our Fees:
We have 2 listing offers
available:
Option 1
FREE development and
listing of your web page.
All enquiries and bookings received through the AhoySA site via
search engines and national advertisements to be directed and
responded to by AhoySA central
reservations and are subject to a booking commission.
Option 2
An annual
registration fee of R1485.00
excluding VAT. All enquiries are directed to you, the
establishment owner or your nominated reservation’s agent.
The Booking Process (Option 1)
All enquiries will be handled by
our competent staff members. Our enquiries desk is manned from
7.00am – 7.00pm, seven days per week. Within 10 minutes on
receipt of an enquiry for your establishment, you will be
notified via e-mail and sms. Once you confirm availability, we
immediately notify the guests. The booking is then secured with
a deposit payment to Ahoy SA,
the booking confirmation e-mailed to you and within 48 hours of
receipt of final payment, Ahoy SA pays you, the establishment, the full amount less the VAT
inclusive booking commission.
